Hunting

You must be in possession of a Firearms Safety Certificate issued by the hunter's province, state or country to purchase licenses to hunt on Prince Edward Island. It is illegal to hunt without one in your possession at all times.
 
In the field, you must be in the company of either:

(1) the holder of a current PEI Hunting Guide License (up to 4 hunters)
(2) the holder of a current PEI Resident Hunter License (up to 2 hunters
 
Holders of a PEI Guide Licence may not hunt while carrying out their professional duties; but may kill a crippled bird for a client, if necessary.
 
Hunting is not permitted on Sunday.
 
It is legal to hunt between one half hour prior to sunrise; and one half hour after sunset.
 
Our waterfowl season opens the first Monday in October and ends the second Saturday in Dec. for geese and puddle ducks, some species of diving ducks have an extended season until Dec. 31.

Daily limit for Canada Geese is 5 birds.

Daily limit for ducks is 6 birds, four of which 4 may be Black Ducks.
 
The season on Woodcock and Ruffed Grouse opens the last week in September.
 
Hungarian Partridge open 3rd Monday in October and runs 3 weeks.
