"HI DAVE,
NEEDLESS TO SAY ONCE AGAIN, MY COUSINS AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT THE BEST FIELD HUNTING FOR CANADAS ON YOUR LEASES. THE GUIDES ARE ALL TOP SHELF AND KNOW THEIR BUSINESS. I ALSO ENJOYED THE GREENWING TEAL HUNTING IN THE AFTERNOONS AFTER WE LIMITED ON HONKERS. JUST TELL THE CUSTOMERS TO BRING ALONG A SMALLER BORE SHOTGUN, SHOOTING TEAL WITH A THREE INCH MAGNUM IS A BIT EXPENSIVE AND NOT QUITE AS SPORTING. I LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING YOU VISIT WITH US HERE IN MAINE WHEN YOU’RE DOWN STRIPER FISHING THIS SUMMER. WE SEND OUR BEST TO MARY, MEGAN AND BEN."

"I had three particularly interesting and memorable hunts with David McLellan. The first was on the Dunk River where we enjoyed some challenging and rewarding green-winged teal shooting. The setting was classic for river gunning - with a good blind, fast birds flying up and down a river that is famous for its searun brook trout fishing spring and summer.
The second day we hunted black ducks on Malpeque Bay. Black ducks are seldom easy, but this is not true on Prince Edward island. My partner and I had a wonderful black duck shoot, plus killed two "bonus" ducks. I can't wait to return.
Later that afternoon David took me on a Hungarian partridge hunt. I love hunting upland birds even more than waterfowl. Bagging a few "huns" put the icing on my PEI Cake."

"Dear David,
I was sitting here watching it snow, for about the fiftieth time this winter, and started thinking of what a great time we have had hunting ducks and geese with you in Prince Edward Island. So I decided to take the time and write you a personal thank you and outline all the great things that you and your crew did for us.
Upon reflecting on our hunts, we always start with the trip to get there. Living in Mid Coast Maine, it is a nine hour drive for us to reach PEI. Normally any rational hunter would be sickened by such a trip, however we have always enjoyed the adventure, Canada has great highways and when we get to the bridge we start getting excited. Arriving in North Rustico we are always greeted by the nicest people. All the shop owners and store owners go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. After stocking up in the local markets it is only a short ride up the road to the cabins that you use as our base camp. No one should ever worry about the accommodations for the efficiency cabins are warm, comfortable, well equipped, and they even have cable television. What more could a hunter ask for?
You and our assigned guide always come and welcome us to PEI, insure that all our needs are met, issue us all our licenses, stamps and make sure we have everything we need to legally hunt in Canada. I can not tell you how much that means to us. If we had to run all over the place to get licenses and stamps that would make our first day very hectic. We historically go out to eat our first night in camp, and I want to let you know that having two or three restaurants within two or three miles makes that an easy conclusion to our first day.
Your guides have always picked us up on time and more importantly have scouted the area and know where the geese are tending. Upon arriving at our area to hunt, it is always a pleasure to assist the guides set out the rig. Whether we are hunting a pit, blind or lay-out rig there is always a lot to do and everyone is excited to get ready and to see the first flock of geese heading for our decoys. Listening to the guide call the geese gets the adrenaline flowing! Our experience is that all the guides give one hundred percent all day to insure that we have the best hunt that we could possibly have. If we limit out on the geese early they always have a plan to keep us busy for the rest of the day. We have a ball hunting upland birds or going and rigging for ducks.
Hunting is as predicable as the weather in Maine, however anyone that hunts with you should know that every possible thing will be done to give the hunters a great trip. We have been hunting with you for the past two years and have enjoyed every minute of each hunt. You should take great pride in yourself, your operation and your guides. I cannot thank you enough. Please feel free to use me as a reference anytime. Dave, you should know that writing this letter has made this snowy day a little better!"
